TAITIEN Electronics, a leading provider of frequency control solutions, has introduced the industry’s smallest high frequency fundamental voltage-control crystal oscillator (VCXOs) , the VW series. The new VW VCXO is capable of providing high frequency in fundamental mode up to 175MHz in small 5×3.2mm SMD ceramic package.
Previously available in CMOS output, the VW series now offer output waveforms also in PECL and LVDS in frequencies up to 175 MHz. With Taitien’s proprietary Inverted Mesa technology, the VW series can achieve high frequency in fundamental mode which enables excellent phase noise with phase jitter as low as 0.3 ps as well as large frequency pulling of at least ±100ppm. At the supply voltage of 3.3V, the VW series operates over temperature range from -40 to 85oC. In additi on, small form factor of 5.0×3.2mm allows more flexibility for hardware engineers in utilizing board space and product designs to accommodate everlasting demand in miniaturization of electronics. These features make the VW series a cost-effe ctive solution in wide range of applications such Phase-Locked Loop (PLL), clock clean-up and data recovery circuits.
Ideally suited for meeting strict requirements of frequency synthesis and frequency translation needs in high-speed communication systems, the VW series can deliver very low phase noise performance at high frequencies to improve signal quality.
