一般来说，高频的石英振荡器(XO)，通常是指频率＞125MHz的振荡器。在传统的石英组件制程中，要做到如此高频，恐怕会因受制于芯片机械加工的极限而宣告失败。为求突破此现况，业界的解决方案共有四种，请参照下表。其中以Inverted Mesa基本波XO各项特性表现最佳，而且频率范围可达到320MHz。 泰艺电子从2000年就预见未来通讯市场需求热络，而且石英组件必然朝高频以及小型化发展。向来视创新研发与技术领先为竞争优势的泰艺电子，即开始着手进行7x5mm小尺寸高频石英振荡器的开发。经由三年的产学合作，于2003年率先以结合Photolithography与Inverted Mesa高频石英芯片制造技术，成功开发出7x5mm高频基本波石英振荡器(OT Type XO)以及高频基本波电压控制石英振荡器(VT Type VCXO)。 其中Inverted Mesa Fundamental芯片设计，将石英基本频(Fundamental)最高频率由传统研磨抛光制程的60MHz提高到320MHz，除了保有良好的质量，又可以提供低噪声的Phase Noise & Jitter。Inverted Mesa照相制版制程也使得Inverted Mesa高频石英芯片成本大幅降低，使得产品价格更具有竞争力。 自2004年正式量产以来，7x5mm高频基本波石英振荡器(OT Type XO)各项优越的特性表现，不仅得到经济部2006年精品奖的殊荣，同时获得国内外通讯大厂的肯定，销售数字也持续成长。在高频石英振荡器领域已具备成熟技术的泰艺电子，未来计划以「Inverted...
