As the performance requirement becomes higher and higher on applications such as communication, smart grid, test and measurement, material exploration and defense, the demand for precise time and frequency standard is rapidly increasing. Taitien Electronics, a leader in frequency control solutions, announces the release of T-ESTM (Energy Saving Timing Module), an ultra-compact and high performance mobile time and frequency standard meeting all stringent requirements on high precision, low power consumption, portability and fast start-up.
T-ESTM incorporates the latest miniaturized rubidium atomic clock solution to achieve ultra-low power consumption of less than 300mW. Its atomic clock optimized by high precision synchronous tracking and holdover algorithm can achieve the holdover performance of better than 1μs in 24 hours. The tracking precision of T-ESTM thereby is capable of better than 30 ns. Moreover, the holdover technique used in T-ESTM can achieve the time precision better than 20ns in the first 2 hours of holdover mode, with averaged frequency accuracy better than 1E-11, and better than 1us in the first 24hr, with frequency accuracy better than 1E-10. T-ESTM can provide outputs of 1PPS (pulse per second) or 10MHz and serial time code (TOD), and realizes time synchronization and be disciplined by using DCLS or external serial TOD of 1PPS. T-ESTM also is designed with an intelligent power management circuit to optimize the battery life of built-in Li-Ion battery. Additionally, the outline dimension of T-ESTM is only 224cm3 (8x8x3.5cm) which is smaller than most of conventional atomic clocks.
