In today’s explosive internet traffic growth driven by data intensive applications such as video file sharing and cloud computing, the need to increase the connection bandwidth to accommodate the data demand is becoming one of the priorities for telecommunication carriers and enterprise networks. TAITIEN Electronics, a technology leader in frequency control solutions, has been at the forefront of pushing fabrication technology on quartz resonators to enable high-frequency and low phase noise crystal oscillators to fulfill the performance requirements by high-speed networking and next generation data communication systems.
Leveraging the proprietary inverted mesa technology in quartz manufacturing and low noise oscillation circuits, Taitien offers a variety of high-frequency crystal oscillators targeted for applications such as 10G/40G/100G Ethernet switching, SynchE, and SONET. Taitien’s OT-U series with inverted mesa blanks are capable of achieving typical phase jitter performance of 60 fs or 0.06 ps from 12kHz to 20MHz integration bandwidth at 156.25MHz carrier frequency. This performance is far superior to that from clock oscillators using frequency multiplication approaches such as PLL to obtain high frequencies. Consequently, OT-U series can be utilized as clean reference clocks for data recovery and clock synthesis. With frequencies ranging from 100 to 170MHz and stability reaching +/-25ppm, ultra-low jitter OT-U oscillators are available in LVPECL output waveform over operating temperatures from -40 to 85C in industry standard 7x5mm SMD package.
Striving for advanced technology innovation in frequency control products, Taitien has been continuously developing and engineering solutions to address the stringent performance requirements in high-speed and wireless communication systems.
